Joe Manchin is VERY unpopular among the core Democrat base, often siding with Republicans on key issues.

Joe Manchin also has a SERIOUS skeleton in the closer, namely the scandal where it was revealed that he paid off the WVU Board of Regents to give his daughter Heather Bresch a masters degree in medicine when she didn’t have the necessary credits to qualify for her masters degree. This scandal saw the forced resignations of many members of the WVU Board of Regents.

If Joe Manchin switches parties and is propped up as the Republican nominee, expect widespread election fraud to throw the Repubican primaries in his favor. Then expect the Democrat nominee to viciously attack Manchin in the debates and use his involvement in the WVU Board of Regents scandal.

This could cause Manchin to lose every state including West Virginia, which hasn’t voted blue in the presidential elections since Bill Clinton won West Virginia in 1992.

This would result in the most lopsided election in history, topping FDR’s 98.3% electoral votes im 1936 and Reagan’s 97.6% electoral votes in 1984. The last president to win all electoral votes was James Monroe in 1820, and that’s because he ran unopposed.
