InfowarsOS.com is proud to announce that InfowarsOS 2023 “Rolling Revere” has been officially released.

In the past, InfowarsOS has been based on Ubuntu. However, with the direction that Canonical is taking, we have decided that we can no longer support their bastardization of free open-source software by turning Ubuntu into a proprietary bloated piece of shit.

As a result, InfowarsOS is now based on the Debian “Sid” branch, meaning that it will continue to receive software updates while the Debian project continues to exist.

When InfowarsOS originally debuted in 2009, it was just a fun customization of Xubuntu 9.04. Last year, we decided to bring InfowarsOS back, this time based on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS.

However, we decided to cease development of Ubuntu-based editions for the following reasons:

1. Canonical introducing the controversial “Snap” package manager which relies on proprietary technology.
2. Canonical forming strategic partnerships with Microsoft.
3. The VERY close ties between Canonical CEO Mark Shuttleworth and George Soros.
4. The fact that Canonical’s prior CEO Jane Silber was a vice president for General Dynamics C4 Systems, a Military–Industrial Complex front group which as one time created psyop websites to support George W. Bush’s illegal invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq.

As with the final Ubuntu-based release, InfowarsOS is powered by Brave Browser.

In addition, InfowarsOS 2023 includes a whole slew of free software applications such as GIMP, Shotwell, and LibreOffice.

Also included is GNOME Software which has built-in support for Flatpak applications. At no time will InfowarsOS support or offer Snap packages. However, since we believe in your choice, you are free to install the necessary apt packages to support the installation of Snaps.

InfowarsOS 2023 is available for absolutely free on our website. Feel free to download, burn onto a USB flash drive (we recommend a 4 GB flash drive), and install on as many computers as you want. Hell, if you want, you are free to burn the InfowarsOS disc image onto flash drives or blank DVDs and pass copies out to your friends, family, and even total strangers.

When Ubuntu debuted in October 2004 it was designed to be a variation of Debian Linux. It used the same method of installing software as Debian via apt-get and GUI tools such as Synaptic.

When it debuted, Ubuntu celebrated the core ubuntu philosophical belief of “humanity towards others” and rebelled against the corporate fascists at Microsoft and Apple.

The old Ubuntu of years ago was a great OS. It had a great community which treated others with respect. It had a great presence among consumers and producers of alternative media. In fact, back in 2009, I made the first version of Infowars OS based on Xubuntu 9.04.

So what happened to the Ubuntu of old?

Short answer is a timeless expression: Money talks, bullshit walks.

Canonical is so desperate to topple the duopoly of Microsoft and Apple that they have no problem selling out on their principles and become just another corporate sham.

Or was this the plan all along?

To understand the reasoning behind Canonical’s agenda to turn Ubuntu into proprietary garbage, you have to look at the company’s key leaders: current CEO Mark Shuttleworth and former CEO Jane Silber.

Let’s begin with Silber. One of Silber’s past employers was General Dynamics C4 Systems where she served as a vice president. C4 Systems is what you could call the IT department of General Dynamics, one of the most prolific war profiteers of the Military Industrial Complex.

In the mid 2000s, it was revealed that General Dynamics was involved in creating fake psyop websites in order to boost support for the Global War on Terror.

It was also revealed that General Dynamics spied on anti-war activists and reported their activities, names, and locations to the Department of Homeland Security as possible “domestic extremists.”

The moment I began to question the reputation of Ubuntu was when I discovered Silber’s past with General Dynamics. When I brought my concerns about her past to other Ubuntu users, I was viciously attacked as “Microsoft shill,” “anti-open source” (which is laughable because Ubuntu’s kernel contains some proprietary code), “conspiracy theorist” (the favorite insult of intellectually-inept cowards who try to shut down criticism of the rich and powerful), and even “misogynist.”

In fact, one week after I raised my concerns on the Ubuntu Forums, I was completely banned. My user name, email, and all IP addresses associated with my account were permanently banned.

So what was the last straw which resulted in my account getting banned?

When I revealed Mark Shuttleworth’s close ties to George Soros and the Open Society Institute. Both the Shuttleworth Foundation and Soros’ OSI have funded pet projects together.

What kind of pet projects? The kind which calls for ending national sovereignty in favor of a one-world government where unelected bureaucrats in league with groups such as Bilderberg, the WHO, the UN, the CFR, the Trilateral Commission, the Bohemian Club, the Club of Rome (which Shuttleworth and Soros are known members of), and the World Economic Forum. Yes. The same WEF which says you will eat bugs and GMO soy instead of meat and dairy now controls the open source software movement.

For many years, Ubuntu has become suspicious in nature. Shortly after Silber was appointed the new CEO, Canonical began putting geolocating spyware in Ubuntu.

For many years, Richard Stallman exposed Ubuntu for having spyware. How was he rewarded? He was rewarded by having a quote about pedophilia taken out of context and cancalled by the #MeToo cunts who forced him away from the Free Software Foundation.

Now that the Free Software Foundation has been essentially neutered, Canonical is going all-in on their agenda to turn their once-free software into overpriced proprietary shitware which they won’t hesitate to defend using the DMCA. (This is the main reason I switched InfowarsOS to Debian. I knew if I continued to base it on Ubuntu, Canonical would hit me hard with a DMCA takedown notice and hefty legal expenses which would bankrupt me.)

So how does Canonical plan to turn Ubuntu into a proprietary OS?

By changing the way you install Ubuntu a d the way you install software on Ubuntu.

The newest version of Ubuntu – 23.04 – is the first to ship with the new installer based on Flutter and installed as a snap package. This means if you remaster Ubuntu 23.04 in CUBIC and completely purge the Snap framework, you will wind up with a live disc image which will run fine live, however the installer will not work.

Snap is Ubuntu’s main way of installing software. It is now the standard app store on Ubuntu and Xubuntu. The Snap framework is full of proprietary code, meaning you cannot legally redistribute an Ubuntu remaster unless Snap has been removed. In fact, putting out a respin of Debian which includes the Snap framework is actually a DMCA violation.

Several weeks ago, Canonical announced that future editions of Ubuntu will have everything installed as snaps. Yes. The Linux kernel will be a snap package. GNOME will be distributed via Snap.

What is the purpose of Canonical having everything be installed as snaps? Not only would it make it illegal to modify an all-snap Ubuntu (as snap is proprietary and alterting proprietary software without permission is illegal), but it would also make it much more difficult to alter an Ubuntu ISO to include the software that you want.

Lastly, the OMG! Ubuntu website reported that soon, all versions of Ubuntu will prioritize snap packages over DEB files snd Flatpaks.

If Ubuntu keeps going down this path, it could force many Ubuntu derivatives such as Linux Mint or Zorin OS to switch their code base to Debian or shut down entirely. (Linux Mint has a version based on Debian in the event Canonical ends Ubuntu or bans altering Ubuntu.)

Years ago before wifi, digital OTA TV, and 5G phone service were the norm, I could listen to AM radio morning, day, and night. 580 WCHS came in crystal clear. AM 680 WKAZ-AM came in super strong during the day. (Night was a different story, as they are forced to turn their power due to regulations which favor 50,000 “clear channel” stations as with 680 WPTF out of Raleigh, NC.)

Night listening of AM radio has been one of my favorite pasttimes for years. Back in the day when I first discoivered AM DXing, I listened to WOWO (primarily for the Fort Wayne Komets games in the old IHL), WRVA out of Richmond (primarily for Coast To Coast AM), WGN Chigago, WSM (now one of only two AM stations which are prinarily music-oriented), and WSB out of Atlanta (primarily for the Atlanta Braves as well as “Wrestling With Jim Ross”).

Shortly after the advent of wifi broadband as well as the ATSC 1.0 digitial TV format, I noticed that reception of my favorite “clear channel” stations and some local AM stations was not as good as it used to me. I really didn’t think much of it at the time.

A couple years ago, I pluggin in my Soiny ICF-9650W AM/FM tabletop radio in the living room. I was blown away at the performance of the radio, and I also noticed it was pulling in AM stations very strongly, giving 650 WSM such a great fidelity sound that I thought it sounded like FM quality. In addition, I hooked an AM transmitter to my phone and played Rock 92 from tuneIn, and the Sony radio produced such an AMAZING high fidelity sound over AM that it rivaled some FM stations. Also, the Sony ICF-9650W pulled in a lot of “clear channels” and made them sound great. Thanks to pulling in WGN, I was able to discover a Chicago-area hard rock band called Last Generation who performed live from the WGN studios. In addition, WGN allowed me to enjoy listening to the Blackhawks and the White Sox.

However, my local TV market has switched from ATSC 1.0 to ATSC 3.0, and now AM reception is horrible. It’s as if governments and corporations are trying to deliberately destroy the AM radio market.

If that were the case, then why?

It all boils down to politics.

Back in the 1980s, President Ronald Reagan’s FCC commissioner did away with the “Fairness Doctrine,” an oppressive rule which said if you allowed somebody to have a radio show where they espoused their political beliefs, they were required to have a guest or co-host with opposing political beliefs.

Before the Fairness Doctrine had been repealed, AM radio stations primarily had a music format. Others has news. However, music was the primary format.

Shortly after the Fairness Doctrine was repealed, AM station owners determined that it would save them money if they abandoned the music format (they have to pay licensing fees and royalties for all songs) and switch to a cheaper format: talk radio and news.

When I was growing up, 580 WCHS was Charleston’s oldies music station, and because WCHS has a pretty strong signal for the area, it reached a wide audience. Shortly after the end of the Fairness Doctrine, the oldies format moved to 107.3 FM, and 580 WCHS began an all news/talk format, with the nationally-syndicted Rush Limbaugh Show as its flagship program. To this day, 580 WCHS’ primary shows include MetroNews Talkline with Hoppy Kercheval (mornings) and Dave Weekley (afternoons), the Dan Bongino Show, MeteoNews Sportsline, Red Eye Radio, and America in the Morning, with Kim Komando on weekends. For over 50 years, WCHS AM has also been Charleston’s home for Cincinnati Reds games.

680 AM WKAZ was Charleston’s local country music station during my youth, using the call letters WCAW. Since then, it has changed formats like people change their underwear. It has been an oldies station, a “singers and standards” station (featuring music from people such as Frank Sinatra), and even an affiliate of Bloomberg Radio. As I write this, WKAZ-AM is once again back to a country music format and is acting as a repeater for 107.3 WKAZ-FM.

Ok, sorry for digressing. Now, why are the government and huge corporations working in tandem to destroy AM radio?

Because corporate liberals hate free speech.

During the years of the Bush Administration, liberals were throwing a bitch fit over “GOP shills” – Rush Limbaugh, Bill O’Reilly, etc. – serving as propaganda mouthpieces for the GOP and Bush. Truth is, people like Limbaugh and O’Reilly were not GOP shills. They were shills for the neocon establishment who allowed 9/11 to happen on purpose – as called for in Project for a New American Century – as a pretext to invade the Middle East to appease their Zionist Israeli overlords.

You see, Democrats and Republicans are one and the same. They all serve the same lobbyists. They all serve the same global elite. They all serve to be lapdogs and Zionist shills. (I have frequently seen many Democrats claim that they support Palestinian rights in one breath, then with another breath claim that anybody who opposes, criticizes, or even mentions Zionism is an anti-semite.)

In 2004, liberals united and created a new syndicated radio network called Air America. It featured a “who’s who” of fake progressives such as Thom Hartmann, Stephanie Miller, and Randi Rhodes. From the onset, ratings for Air America were dismal, and by 2010, it was gone.

Shortly after the Democrats gained a majority in the House and Senate in the 2006 mid-term elections, many fake progressives called for the House and Senate to draft legislation which would have made the Fairness Doctrine the law of the land. Such laws were never given much consideration, as such a law would have violated the First Amendment. (A law which says “you must grant free speech to the opposing side, or you are not allowed to talk” would have run afoul of the First Amendment which prevents government from infringing on the freedom of speech.)

Now that liberals and fake progressives have discovered that the Fairness Doctrine would have been thrown out by today’s current Supreme Court which has a conservative majority, they have moved on to Plan B: the planned destruction of the AM radio spectrum.

I have seen many news articles and videos which have called for a forced digital conversion of AM and FM stations. A forced digital radio conversion would be a very bad idea. Why? Because of all the millions of vintage AM-only and AM/FM radios in homes and shops.

Not everybody would know how to add a digital conversion kit to an old vacuum tube AM radio or even a transistorized AM/FM radio. And not everybody is handy with a soldering iron.

So what would happen to those vintage AM-only and AM/FM radios if there were indeed a forced digital radio conversion?

Just about all those vintage radios would end up thrown in the trash, causing the plastic cases to pollute the ground and the environment.

As it currently stands, the reception quality of AM radio has taken a HUGE nosedive in the wake of 2.7GHz/5.4GHz wireless broadband, 5G cellphone service, and ATSC 1.0 and ATSC 3.0 digital OTA television. Add to the fact that people’s home and now using much more electricity than before thanks to super-powered gaming consoles from Microsoft and Sony, and AM radio is being treated as technology’s Fredo Corleone and a redheaded stepchild all rolled into one.

What this Dutchtard fails to let you know is that the Democratic Party has been conquered by socialists who are trying their best to oust moderate Democrats such as Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema out of their respective Senate seats.

Also, what the Dutchtard fails to mention is that the GOP has been taken over by the far left. While REAL Republicans such as Ron Paul and Rand Paul were calling for an end to war, the neocon faction of the GOP was working in tandem with far-left Democrats to destabilize the Middle East on behalf of their Zionist Israeli overlords.

In addition, the Trump Administration was “business as usual” for the Military-Industrial Complex as well as the agricultural industry which supports the proliferation of the global food supply with GMO crops. Are you a coffee lover like me?

I love coffee, and not just because of the health benefits. I love the smell of coffee as it’s making. I love how the caffeine content alleviates my grogginess when I wake from a restful sleep.

However, today’s coffee habit is becoming expensive with rising inflation rates. A couple weeks ago, I bought a can of generic coffee at Kroger for nearly $9.50. When you also factor in the cost of coffee filters, it adds up to an expensive habit.

In addition, today’s electric coffee makers are now made in China with subpar electronic components as well as Chinese slave labor.

Is there a way to make coffee without using a coffee pot and coffee filters and not worrying about wasting unused coffee?

There is. It’s called cowboy coffee.

Cowboy coffee is a detailed brewing process where you add coffee grounds to a pot or kettle with boiling water. The hot water boils away the acidic content of coffee. However, to ensure that you don’t get coffee grounds in your mouth, you hair to pour some cold water into the pot or kettle which causes the coffee grounds to sink to the bottom.

Unfortunately, there are some people who cannot master making cowboy coffee without getting coffee grounds in their mouth. Is there a simpler way to make cowboy coffee without the worry of getting a mouthful of grounds?

Yes there is!! It’s called the JoGo coffee brewing straw.

The JoGo makes making cowboy coffee as simple as putting coffee grounds in a coffee cup, pouring hot water into your cup, using the JoGo to stir the contents together, let it sit for four minutes to brew, and then sip the delicious cup of joe through the tip.

Reddit CEO Steve Huffman said Thursday that he wants to bring an end to a user-led protest that has made large parts of the influential website inaccessible this week. Huffman said in an interview that he plans to institute rules changes that would allow Reddit users to vote out moderators who have overseen the protest, comparing them to a “landed gentry.”

If you haven’t heard, Reddit is raising costs of their API which may force future development of third-party Reddit apps such as Apollo to cease.

Imagine if Google changed the YouTube API and forced third-party YouTube apps such as SmartTube (which I have on my Android TV devices…it’s a great app) as well as YouTube downloader developers such as MediaHuman – in addition to all those online websites – where you can download YouTube videos and save them as MP3 audio files or even MP4 video files – to shut their doors.

The internet was once a home for free speech. Now the internet is being bastardized by money-grubbing CEOs who are more concerned with their wealth than free expression and – in the Reddit CEO’s case – the simple act of protesting.

My advice? Launch a mass boycott of Reddit, and put such a financial strain on their service that they have no choice but to acquiesce to the users who are tired of corporate bullshit or just shut the website down altogether.

If YouTube goes down this route, then boycott YouTube en masse and migrate to competitors such as Rumble.

Hossein Khosrow Ali Vaziri, better known to the world as iconic 1980s supervising The Iron Sheik, passed away peacefully at the age of 81.

Vaziri, who was born in 1942 in Iran, was an amateur wrestler, following in the footsteps of his idol Gholamreza Takhti. After the mysterious death of Takhti, which was rumored to be orchestrated by Iran’s SAVAK secret intelligence agency on orders of Shah Mohammed Reza Pahlavi, Vaziri fled Iran and moved to the United States.

Vaziri began his life in the United States as a coach for the University of Minnesota wrestling team. During that time, he met pro wrestling promoter Verne Gagne who trained Vaziri as a professional wrestler at his wrestling school in Edina, Minnesota.

Vaziri debuted in 1972 as a clean-cut babyface and also worked as a referee in Gagne’s promotion, the American Wrestlinf Association (AWA). During his time in the AWA, he also assisted Gagne in training other professional wrestlers such as Ken Patera, Gagne’s son Greg, Jim Brunzell, Chris Taylor, Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat, and future 16-time world heavyweight champion “Nature Boy” Ric Flair.

In the late 1970s, Vaziri told Verne Gagne and his wife Mary that he was tired of being a babyface and wanted to become a heel. As a result, he shaved his head and took on a new persona; The Iron Sheik.

Around the same time, the Islamic Revolution took place which resulted in the overthrow of Pahlavi as well as the kidnappings and hostage-takings of Americans who were in Iran at the time. As a result of this, the Iron Sheik became the most hated professional wrestler.

As the Iron Sheik, Vaziri garnered the most fan-generated heat that any heel ever had. Vaziri also introduced the “Persian Club Challenge’ where he challenged fans and other wrestlers to lift the 50 pound clubs over their heads and swing them around as he did.

Vaziri was a mainstay in the AWA ad well as NWA territories – including time in the WWWF/WWF when it was an NWA territory – until 1983, when he signed an exclusive deal with the World Wrestling Federation and entered into a program with All-American clean-cut babyface Bob Backund.

On December 26, 1983, the Iron Sheik won his only recognized world heavyweight championship when he defeated Backlund when Backlund’s manager Arnold Skaaland threw in the towel. However, Sheik’s reign was short-lived, as he dropped the title the next month to Hulk Hogan.

After his title loss, Sheik became a member of a tag team with “Soviet” wrestler Nikolai Volkoff. The tag team would even enjoy a brief reign as the WWF World Tag Team Champions, defeating the U.S. Express – Barry Windham and Mike Rotunda – at the inaugural Wrestlemania.

Sheik was a mainstay in the World Wrestling Federation until mid-1987, when he was fired for possession of cocaine while riding in a car with “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan. This was controversial, as not only was Sheik a heel and Duggan a babyface, but they were also involved in a storyline feud at the time.

During Sheik’s time away from the WWF, he worked for independent promotions as well as NWA territories, most notably a 1989 stint in World Championship Wrestling (WCW) when he unsuccessfully challenged Sting for Sting’s NWA World Television Championship.

In 1991, Vaziri returned to the WWF as Col. Mustafa, teaming with Iraqi sympathizer Sgt. Slaughter and managed by Gen. Adnan, whose real name is Adnan al-Kaissee and was a childhood friend of former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein.

Vaziri worked in the WWF until 1992, when he was fired for failing a drug test. It is said that this was the famous drug test when he reacted with glee when Vince McMahon told him he tested positive, only for McMcahon to tell Vaziri “positive” in that case was bad, not good.

Apart from a brief stint in 1997 when he and Backlund managed an Arabian prince character called The Sultan, Vaziri spent the remainder of his career in independent promotions.

Vaziri’s last televised match was at Wrestlemania 17 in the Gimmick Battle Royal. Because Vaziri was suffering numerous health ailments such as bad ankles, he could not take any bumps and was booked to win the match.

In recent years, Vaziri reached huge levels of popularity as a result of doing shoot interviews with people such as Rob Feinstein and Scott Oliver, as well as numerous appearances on The Howard Stern Show.

Contrary to his on-screen persona, Vaziri was a devoted family man, having married Caryl Peterson in 1976. The couple had three daughters named Tanya, Jeanne, and Marissa. It’s been said that the murder of Marissa by her boyfriend shattered her father and may be why he binged on drugs and alcohol.

In a shoot interview, Vaziri revealed rhat his signature wrestling boots with the pointed horns on top were suggested to him by Mary Gagne as well as Detroit wrestling legend Edward Farhat, who was better known to wrestling fans as The (Original) Sheik.

Vaziri is survived his wife Caryl, his daughters Tanya and Jeanne, and his grandchildren Marissa, Zahra, Alexis, Chloe, and Niko. Vaziri was preceded in death by his daughter Marissa, his father Haji Ghasem Vaziri, and his mother whose name is unknown at this time.

Currently there is a new desktop Linux project called Rolling Rock, and one of their main offerings is a GNOME-based desktop and based on a heavily tweaked version of Ubuntu Linux which had a lot of proprietary Canonical crap removed from the OS using a script called “Ubuntu-Debullshit”. What this script does is remove proprietary Caonical content such as the Snap software delivery service and replace it with the Flatpak software delivery service which is said to be of an open-source model, as opposed to Canonical’s Snap service.

In addition, Flatpak can use different repositories such as the Flathub and Fedora repos. As for Canonical’s Snap? They have the only snap repo, and they control what software is and isn’t allowed in their repo.

Try developing a BANNED.VIDEO snap package and submit it for approval. Not only will Canonical turn it down, they will probably also ban your developer account.

Now as for Flatpaks? You can create your own Flatpak repo, and you can host whatever apps you want, and Flatpak repos cannot be censored. If you develop an app and it isn’t approved by Flathub or Fedora, you can create your own Flatpak repo.

We said a while back that Canonical’s slow drift towards software fascism was the reason why we switched to Debian. However, with the recent developments of “Ibuntu-debullshit” and Rolling Rock Linux, we may put out their own spin based on the GNOME version of Rolling Rock. (FWIW, the reason the OS is called Rolling Rock is because it’s intended to be a “rolling release” based on Ubuntu’s developmental branch.)

Windows 11 update causes troubles to VPN users

Some Windows VPN users are lamenting drop in performances after installing a recent Windows 11update. 

Released on May 9 and officially known as KB5026372, the update was supposed to bring some improvements to last year’s OS version 22H2. However, customers are experiencing a drastic drop in VPN speeds after installation, especially over L2TP/IPsec connections.

Besides issues with VPN services, the update seems to be causing additional problems to users, and Microsoft is now looking at the matter more closely.

“Microsoft is aware of the issue and is looking into it,” a Microsoft spokesperson told BleepingComputer on May 15.

Many people who have already downloaded and installed the update reported slower speeds in both download and upload activity. 

A users on Reddit (see conversation below) described the Microsoft L2TP/IPsec connection of crawling “to a snail’s pace” and becoming  “unusable.” 

This type of VPN connection is especially employed by businesses to enable the service for their clients, making the issues perhaps even more relevant for customers.

Another dissatisfied user reported something similar, writing: “No problems connecting to the VPN, just once you get in the speeds are extremely slow and RDP basically just times out.”

As BleepingComputer pointed out, VPN speed drops seem to occur only under Wi-Fi connections.

Windows 11 KB5026372’s issues aren’t ending with VPNs poor performances, though. As Windows Latest reported, users have also been experiencing further issues. 

These include their devices automatically shutting down instead of restarting after installing the updates, BitLocker automatic activation which could potentially lead to a total system reset, as well as the coming back of a previously fixed security bug on the Windows Security app.

However, the problems around VPN connection are more widespread across users.  

At the time of writing, the only fix appears to be uninstalling the problematic update. 

Step-by-step guide to uninstall KB5026372 update:

• Select Start, head on Settings and click on Windows Update;
• Tap on Update history and then press Uninstall updates;
• Look for the KB5026372 update and click Uninstall; 
• At this point, your device will revert to the previous Windows 11 version.

It is worth noting that the Windows 11 May update has also brought some improvements on the security front. So, eliminating the update means that fixed patched security bugs will be reinstated.
